Week Eight 'A' Preview

It's already week eight, and the district races are heating up big time...

District One
--Fulton City @ Murray
While Mayfield is grabbing ALL the news in the 1st district, Fulton City has quietly had a good season. How good you ask? Try 6-0.
--Fulton County @ Ballard Memorial

District Two
--Caverna @ Russellville
--Hancock County @ Metcalfe County
Hancock County came oh-so-close to beating Russellville last week in Hawesville, but now they must travel to Edmonton to battle the Hornets. This game will likely decide who plays their playoff opener at home.
--Crittenden County @ McLean County

District Three
--Bethlehem @ Campbellsville
Campbellsville's slide doesn't look to stop against Bethlehem, who seems to be the lone remaining challenger to Bardstown's district dominance.

District Four
--Danville @ Carroll County
--Owen County @ Frankfort

District Five
--Newport Central Catholic @ Ludlow
This is a must win for Catholic, who already has two district losses and is fighting for their playoff lives.
--Bellevue @ Beechwood
--Bracken County @ Covington Holy Cross

District Six
--Nicholas County @ Lexington Christian
--Raceland @ Bath County
Watch out Raceland. While Bath County fell last week, they still have district sleeper written all over them.
--Paris @ Berea

District Seven
--Somerset @ Evarts
--Williamsburg @ Harlan
Harlan has a big date with Middlesboro next weekend, but Williamsburg has to be considered the more important game if they are to reach Somerset in the district.
--Pineville @ Cumberland

District Eight
--Hazard @ South Floyd
--Phelps @ Allen Central

Game of the Week
--Louisville Holy Cross @ Green County
The Dragons dropped a puzzling decision to Kentucky Country Day and thus somewhat stalled their playoff momentum. They must get back on their horse quickly to meet Holy Cross, which is still playing catchup after losing to Bardstown.

Other 'A' hosted games: Jackson County @ Trimble County
