Which leaves these games to discuss...

--Danville 35 Frankfort 6
Revenge served by the Admirals, and with Bardstown and Beechwood gone, it seems only Newport Central Catholic will stand in Danville's way now.

--Newport Central Catholic 26 Beechwood 21
And after a terrible beginning, Catholic seemed to leave all discussion of state championship contenders. But here they are, heading to the third round, and only three wins away from a title.

--Covington Catholic 25 Highlands 15
I wasn't convinced that Covington Catholic was good enough to beat Highlands twice, but I guess they are now. Will anyone out there be interested in next week's game between Covington Catholic and...

--Lexington Catholic 44 Franklin County 38 (OT)
It was all but over for Lexington Catholic, as the Knights fell into an impossible hole against the Flyers. But Catholic showed a heart of a champion and came all the way back, and now their title defense can continue.

--Male 33 St. Xavier 7
And so Male, which just slid past X in the regular season, sent an emphatic message across town to Trinity that the Bulldogs won't be easily dismissed from these playoffs.

Round three predictions begin tomorrow...it'll be fun!
